Letting Go

Letting Go

No matter where you are in life, letting go is never easy at any age. So, where do you start? You start by realizing that you are not the only one whom the Lord is calling to let go of your bondages that keep you from Him! You’re not alone.

For thousands of years everyone has had to let go of something or someone. The key to letting go is this… letting go requires Trust, requires learning to Abide, and Rest. In whom do we Trust, Abide, and Rest in? GOD. He wants to draw us near to Him for his purpose, His need. So many times, we put trust in the world we live in, we abide in the world and never find rest in the world, constantly being let down and then say, well He must not love me. But the truth is that He loves us very much.

In Psalm 2, the Lord says, “You are my son. It is I who have begotten you this day.” You see, the Lord has given you this day, not so that we can walk around with no existence. He calls us to walk around with courage and boldness to proclaim His good news, the Love and Mercy that Christ himself taught. Why? So, that we can all be filled by the Holy Spirit, the Advocate who longs to teach us how to Trust, Abide, and Rest.

In 2 Corinthians 3:17 we are reminded that “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Freedom that no matter what this world throws at us, death, sin, health issues, past hurts, loss of job we know that God has a plan. He will deliver us from our bondage. However, we must do our part and let go. Blind Trust. Total Surrender. Asking ourselves what is it that I am to learn from this moment, Lord, so that I can move closer to the promised land you want to give me?

Let go, dear one, let go. God wants to equip you! Jesus calls us to Trust and to Entrust everything to Him! Let’s not hold onto every pain, hurt, and lie today. Let go, and let God take over.

Peace in Christ +
